Multi-model work on tax, audit and advisory. Client files that never leave your region.
Accountancy runs on client data that is confidential, regulated and kept for years. Agentu gives a practice one encrypted memory organised by client and engagement, so staff can use the best AI model for each task — and the practice can show a client, a regulator or an insurer exactly where that data is, who can reach it and when it was destroyed.
Four obligations, four controls
Client confidentiality
Every client is a separately keyed category; every engagement can be one too. The model preparing one client's tax computation cannot see another client exists. Model calls run under business terms that forbid training, and Agentu never stores anything in the clear.
Independence and segregation
Audit and advisory teams hold different keys for the same client; a key is the segregation, so a model connected by one side inherits it automatically. Staff rotations, secondments and leavers are a key change, not a clean-up project.
Residency for every client
Switzerland by default, for every client: storage, backups, keys and processing under Swiss law, which a client with a data-location clause can be told in one sentence. A regional home in the United States, as it goes live, for practices under IRS rules on federal tax information; Singapore for Asia-Pacific clients whose rules require in-country storage. Retention you can evidence
Working papers must be kept for fixed periods and then destroyed. The signed history proves nothing was altered during the retention period; destroying the engagement key at the end makes every copy unreadable, backups included, with a timestamped record.
What changes day to day
Onboard a client once
The client category is created with its region and retention period; engagement keys go to the team and to the assistants they use. No more client files pasted into chat windows.
Use the right model for the job
Reconciliation notes in ChatGPT, a technical memo in Claude, legislation lookups in Perplexity — each reading the same encrypted client memory through its own key, with provenance on every entry.
Find it in year three
With the optional discovery service, the practice's drives and the encrypted memory are categorised by client, year and engagement, so the 2024 working papers are one question away. Find →

Regulatory notes: professional bodies and tax authorities expect practices to know where client data is held and to retain and destroy working papers on schedule; Agentu is built so both can be evidenced. This page describes the product, not advice on your own obligations.
